Treating Your Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Treatment typically involves lifestyle changes and application of an oral appliance or a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device. In some cases surgery is indicated.

There are over 150 FDA cleared oral appliances for the treatment of OSA. The vast majority of these so-called legacy appliances are made by dental labs with extreme variability in fit, performance and reliability. After 25 years of treating over 5000 patients, Dr Sall has limited his practice to ProSomnus Sleep Technologies.

The Precision EVO Appliance by ProSomnus Sleep Technologies delivers superior efficacy, fit, reliability and performance.

On occasion Dr. Sall will service and adjust appliances from other dentists when circumstances permit. Due to the number of appliances currently on the market and the different labs that have been licensed to fabricate oral appliances, Dr. Sall has taken this approach to provide the best quality and performance in Oral Appliance Therapy.

Tongue retaining devices (TRD) like the one pictured here are sometimes effective for treating mild obstructive sleep apnea. TRD devices work by holding the tongue from blocking the airway.
